Been another carzy week in the mish. And I have some terrible news... The Cold is coming back. The first day Elder Hardy and I woke up and saw frost on the ground, I won't lie, I might have been a little sad. All the locals are saying that this is going to be the coldest winter ever and even the farmers are scared. :'(
I'm glad that Deans funeral went well. That man for sure deserves a party for his farewell. I can help but think how grate that must have been to hear all of the memories of Dean. He was such a funny guy.
This week we saw a lot of miracles that happened in between 8:50 and 9:00 at night. Guess it pays off to stay out as late as you can. We were planning on an appointment at 8 but it fell through and the less active we stopped by was gone so we started to go old fashion and knock some doors. At around 8:55 we knocked on the door of a guy named H. He was in his 20's and holding a Xbox controller in his hand. After getting to know him we found out that he has never been to church before and still believes in Shamanism. (these are probably my favorite people to teach because they don't have any Hmong Preacher bologna floating around in their head) We taught him the restoration and as we were talking about prayer we asked him if he has ever prayed before and he told us one time. We asked him what about and he told us that his girlfriend had broken up with him. We asked him if he felt God had answered him and he told us that he thought we are his answer to find happiness. It was pretty neat. We are going back tonight to see him at 8 to teach him the Plan of Salvation so I'm super pumped. Sorry it will be quick today because we decided to bike to Minneapolis for P-Day and we have to bike back.
Mom,
For P day we do all kinds of stuff:golf, basketball, biking, bake stuff, build snowmans, snowball fights.
We don't play games on other days.
The grandmas feed us dinner a lot and other than that we pretty much just eat rice, hamburger helper, and peanut butter sandwiches.
It makes me laugh when I get to hangout with missionaries and talk about all the super random stuff that our investigators do.
Hardest thing about my mission is making sure that I'm living up to my potential and doing all the Lord wants me to.
